●Made in California. Designed, patented and built by the same family since 1961.

Screw caps are supposed to be the easy ones. They are not, if your hands hurt.

A stubborn cap needs grip and a sharp twist, which is exactly the combination arthritis, a weak wrist or a recent injury takes away. This grips the cap for you and turns the job into leverage instead of force — it is the difference between opening your own bottle and waiting for someone to come and do it.

  • Easy-grip body, shaped for hands that cannot squeeze hard
  • Works on wine and water bottles, which is the version most people end up using daily
  • Nothing to set up, nothing to maintain

Six dollars, and one of the few things here bought out of genuine need rather than want. If corked bottles are the harder problem, we wrote a guide to openers for arthritis and limited hand strength — the Cork Pops Legacy takes the cork out with gas rather than a pull, for the same reason.

A family business that still makes the thing it invented.
Est. 1961

A family business that still makes the thing it invented.

It started in a workshop in 1961. Three generations later the family still holds the patent, still runs the line in Novato, California, and still packs the cartridges that go in the box.

That is why the refills never disappear, why an opener bought years ago still takes a standard cartridge, and why the thing feels like it was made by someone who cared.
