●Made in California. Designed, patented and built by the same family since 1961.
●Refills never discontinued. An opener bought twenty years ago still takes the cartridge we sell today.
●Direct from the manufacturer. Not a marketplace reseller, so you get the real thing and our warranty.

The drip always comes from the same place: that last bead of wine on the lip, which runs down the neck and onto the tablecloth about two seconds after you have finished pouring.

A drip collar sits around the neck and catches it. Polished chrome on the outside, soft black felt on the inside — the felt does the work, absorbing the run before it reaches the label, the table or your hand.

  • Two collars per box — one for the red, one for the white
  • Polished chrome outer ring, felt-lined inside
  • Slips on and off; nothing to fit or adjust
  • Presented in a Nicholas Collection gift box

Ten dollars, and the sort of thing nobody buys for themselves and everybody uses once they have one — which makes it a good small gift for the person who hosts.

Real bottles, real reactions

How it works

Pressure—not brute force.

A needle through the cork, one press, and a puff of inert gas lifts it out whole — the same mechanism the family patented and has been building in California ever since.

Pierce
01

Pierce

Use the built-in foil cutter, then guide the needle straight down through the center of the cork.

Press
02

Press

One press releases the gas beneath the cork.

Pop

Pop

The pressure lifts the cork cleanly and intact—no twisting, pulling or crumbling.

A family business that still makes the thing it invented.

A family business that still makes the thing it invented.

It started in a workshop in 1961. Three generations later the family still holds the patent, still runs the line in Novato, California, and still packs the cartridges that go in the box.

That is why the refills never disappear, why an opener bought years ago still takes a standard cartridge, and why the thing feels like it was made by someone who cared.
