The free-form one — no symmetry, no handle, just a poured shape that looks different from every side of the table.

Decanting does two things. It gets a young wine in contact with air, which softens the tannin and opens up aromas that were shut down in the bottle; and on an older wine it leaves the sediment behind in the bottle rather than in the last glass.

It is the most modern piece in the Luca Collection, and the one to choose if the decanter is going to live out on a sideboard rather than come out for occasions. Empty, it still looks like something.

Prefer not to decant at all? The VinOair aerator aerates as you pour. See the rest of the wine accessories.

A family business that still makes the thing it invented.
Est. 1961

A family business that still makes the thing it invented.

It started in a workshop in 1961. Three generations later the family still holds the patent, still runs the line in Novato, California, and still packs the cartridges that go in the box.

That is why the refills never disappear, why an opener bought years ago still takes a standard cartridge, and why the thing feels like it was made by someone who cared.
