A 300 acre estate dating back to 1916 brought to fame by Sydney
Back, now under the control of his son Michael. The wines incorporate
the rich lively Paarl fruit with a judicious amount of barrel
aging in both French and American oak barrels.

Bergkelder makes a Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon,
and a merlot/cabernet blend. Their wines include Stellenryck,
Fleur du Cap and Pongr·cz. They include the Alto wines,

Winery
This new Stellenbosch winery is a joint venture of Beyers Truter
winemaker and the Krige brothers owners of Kanonkop Estate. The
goal of the winery is to raise the standards of Pinotage from
30-35 year old bush vines located in the Stellenbosch district.

by Simon Pritchard. He produced his first wine in 1988. The winery

Wetshof Estate
Danie de Wet well known for its Chardonnays. The estate located
in the lime rich Robertson valley produces over 50,000 cases
of Chardonnay from 10 different clones. The styles vary from
unwooded to barrel fermented and, are close in style to French
Chablis.
Groot
Constantia Estate
Founded in 1685 by Governor van der Stel, Constantia is the oldest
estate in the Cape. The cool microclimate produces an elegant
French style of wine throughout the range of noble red and white
varietals.

Provence
Semillon, Blanc Fume, and other "less traditional"
wines! Haute Provence Vineyards of Franschhoek, South Africa,
recently bought by Count Agusta of Italy to integrate with his
neighbouring wine, La Provence, has been rated as one of South

Meerlust

Meerlust has been the pride of the Myburgh family since 1756.
Today, Hannes Myburgh, the present owner, continues this great
family tradition. They are Situated 15km south of Stellenbosch
and only 5 km from False Bay.
Neil
Ellis Winery
In 1994 Neil Ellis relocated his cellar to the Jonkershoek valley
in Stellenbosch. Neil Ellis specializes in wines from unique
microclimates which best express the varietal concept.
Rhebokskloof
Estate
Rhebokskloof Estate dates back to 1692, when Simon van der Stel
gave a free grant to Dirk van Schalkwyk. It was named after small
buck, Rhebok, which used to roam freely in the area and which
are still occasionally seen in the vineyards.
Rust
En Vrede
Jannie and Ellen Engelbrecht purchased this small and run down
Estate in 1978, and immediately set about restoring the wine
cellar which dates back to 1790. The rebirth of Rust en Vrede
marked the beginning of a new era in the South African wine industry,
for it was the first time that an Estate would specialize in
the making of red wine only.
Saxenburg
Estate
Saxenburg dates back to 1693 when Governor Simon van der Stel
granted the land to a free burger, Joachim Sax. Saxenburg was
acquired in 1989 by Swiss businessman Adrian Buhrer.

Farmers' Winery
They produce the Zonnebloem range, sparkling wines such as Grand
Mousseux and 5th Avenue Cold Duck, the Lanzerac range, Chateau
Libertas, La Gratitude, Graca, the Autumn Harvest and Kellerprinz
ranges, Capenheimer, Lieberstein and Virginia.
Veenwouden
Private Cellar
Situated on the northern side of Paarl on the Paarl/Wellington
Road, with spectacular views over the Klein-Drakenstein Mountains,
lies Veenwouden, a small Boutique winery, belonging to international
opera singer, Deon van der Walt.
Warwick
Estate
Warwick Estate, situated close to Stellenbosch was originally
part of the eighteenth century farm "De Goede Success"
granted in 1791, from when its great history began. The founder
of Warwick was one Colonel Gordon, who renamed his portion of
"Good Success" in honor of his Warwickshire regiment.

Zanddrift
Vineyards
Zanddrift creates a large variety of white, semi-sweet and red
wines. They are a 45 hectare estate situated in the South African
renown "PAARL" wine region. The estate is approximately
55km from the CBD area of Cape Town, South Africa. The farm itself
is over 50 years old.
